METHODS OF INNOVATION

  •  Small scale solar panel companies have some level of ability to ease a transition to solar so there is already a precedent for this move on a smaller scale. Additionally, countries such as Japan and Germany have done moves on a governmental scale in easing the transition to solar energy  in their countries. By following the already established and proven methods that these countries have already trail-blazed the US is set up for a quick and easy transition to making solar energy a top priority and energy resource.

  • Making a social network platform would be also innovative as it would be a major help that has not been done before. It would focus efforts to advocacy and with the help of a large number of users petitions, protests and brainstorming would be easily done. It would also, due to extended its reach, provide a level of weight to any advocacy attempts made and allow massive support behind potential fundraising and community outreach attempts.

PROPOSAL FOR LOCAL ARIZONA OFFICIALS

  1. To create a social media platform (similar to twitter) focusing on solar energy and advocacy along this line.

  2. We want 75-80 percent of households and buildings to have transitioned to solar energy by the year 2030.

  3. With solar energy it will be cheaper, less noisy and easily accessed in rural areas.

  4. To implement a scaled tax that would affect the population based on income. The money collected would be used to fund other solar policies.

  5. To provide tax benefits for persons who have started to use renewable energy, particularly solar.
